GLOBAL OFFSHORE INDUSTRY CONVERGES ON COPENHAGEN
The “mce DEEPWATER DEVELOPMENT” 2009 technical conference is, for the first time, to be held in Copenhagen, Denmark. It features a packed technical programme and is supported by an exhibition showcasing the world’s major companies operating within the deepwater sector.
Hosted by Maersk Oil and organized by Quest Offshore, this year’s conference will see Maersk Oil’s CEO, Thomas Thune Anderson, welcoming the international delegates and presenting the conference’s keynote speech.
Paul Hillegeist, President of Quest comments, “We at Quest are delighted that Maersk Oil is to be this year’s host and I believe this conference will provide a platform to address the exciting challenges faced by this sector of the global oil industry.”
Quest Offshore is a leading source for strategic deepwater market information and Paul will be presenting a global deepwater market overview during the Conference. According to Quest Offshore, the current estimate of 2009 Global Deepwater Spend is $164 billion, the oil price is hovering around $40/bbl and major discoveries for example, offshore West
Africa, Brazil, Malaysia and in the US Gulf, should lead to renewed impetus in the deepwater sector.
There is much to discuss in Copenhagen 31st March/2 April 2009, with twin track technical sessions scheduled to give delegates access to a range of presentations featuring deepwater solutions from floating production to insulation and flowlines, subsea processing, plus riser, drilling and well technologies.
