Posted on February 16th 2008 | By admin

Naval Expeditionary Forces Symposium & Expo will again provide a forum for the exchange of information and technology advancements to support our forces engaged in the entire spectrum of maritime operations around the globe. Symposium speakers will address the growing requirements, roles and missions of Expeditionary Forces. Exhibitors and vendors will showcase innovative products and services which will contribute to the success of Expeditionary Forces accomplishing the 21st Century Seapower strategic imperatives for our Nation’s security and prosperity.

In October 2007, the Chief of Naval Operations and the Commandants of the U.S Marine Corps and U.S. Coast Guard promulgated a visionary joint document which calls for the retention of traditional “blue water” maritime power, and increased emphasis on conflict prevention and partnership-building.  “A Cooperative Strategy for 21st Century Seapower” calls for a collective expansion of Sea service core capabilities, and will have far-reaching effects on the training, equipping, maintenance, and missions of maritime forces.
