Coatings Technologies for the 21st Century

Port Canaveral and the Florida Space Coast are known for sun, fun and the beaches. It is also home to NASA and one of the most corrosive areas in the world. It is the perfect setting for a NACE Meeting.

With that being said, the NACE Central Florida Section welcomes you to the 2008 Eastern Area Conference to be held in Port Canaveral, Florida on October 20-23, 2008. The conference symposiums will provide the most current and innovative technology reports for the corrosion professional. The symposiums will have a connection to coatings with topics such as atmospheric coatings, water and wastewater coatings, military coatings, pipeline coatings and new coatings still in the research mode. There will be an exhibitor area to visit to see some of these new technologies. A visit to the NASA Beachside Atmospheric Exposure Test Facility is being planned. There will also be many other activities to keep you busy when you are not in seminars or visiting with the exhibitors. The program is being refined and finalized at this time.

The SNAME 2008 Annual Meeting features new and expanded conference programming. Based upon industry and SNAME member feedback, the 2008 Annual Meeting will expand its historical technical conference offerings to include a comprehensive technical program and educational offerings in a broader array of professional areas of interest.

In 2008, SNAME will celebrate its 115th anniversary. The theme of the SNAME 2008 Annual Meeting is…”Celebrating our Past, Engineering our Future”. A part of the conference programming will take a retrospective look at the range of changes and innovations that have taken place in our profession and our industry over these past 115 years.

The SNAME 2008 Annual Meeting educational programming will build on the strengths of SNAME’s technical integrity. The 2008 educational programming will include:
